This week we travel to Buninyong for a huge day of football and netball for all grades. Both clubs have had some really good results this season which is sure to see some great contests today. Good luck to Buninyong for the rest of the year.
Last weekend we had our Past Players and Supporters Day which was a huge success with many past players and supporters coming out and celebrating with the club. It was fantastic to see so many new and old faces and we thank you for all making the day so enjoyable! Thanks in particular to Marie & Greg Loader, Karen Molloy & Steve Molloy, Cam Palmer, Dom Clark, Toni Briody, Stuart Robertson, Sam Chapman, Mick Wallbank, Luke Bourke, Leith Pellisier and as always Krusty and Phyllis for all your help in making the day such a big success.
The seniors and reserves football teams had some good wins against Springbank last weekend with Paul Dodds kicking the winning goal in the dying seconds of a very entertaining senior game, while our reserves had a strong start which saw them come away with a good win. Our under 17.5’s boys went down to a very good Springbank team while our under 14.5’s and under 12’s showed some real improvement in a good display of team football. Good luck to Springbank for the rest of the year.
Last week the netballers also faced a strong opposition, the C grade girls came up with a win and the B grade went down by a very small margin. The other teams were overcome by Springbank, but are hoping to meet them again in the finals!
A reminder that the Annual Ball is on the 20th July at the Mechanics Institute. Tickets are $50 per person and include a sit down meal, the dress code for the evening is semi formal. There are limited tables left so please see Chris Bourke, Toni Briody or Dom Clark.
