Waubra Waffle, week ending 14th July

This week we welcome Skipton to a great day of football and netball at the Waubra Community Hub. With a narrow loss to a very determined Buninyong team our senior footballers are now looking to rebound with a strong performance against a very impressive Skipton outfit.

Last week our senior netballers had some fantastic results with A, B & C grade all recording very strong wins against a strong Buninyong outfit. The girls had great control of the ball in the very wet conditions, they worked well under pressure to hold onto the lead. The U17 and U15 girls also posted wins and are demonstrating some great form that has been a bit hit and miss over the last few weeks. The U13 girls are developing their basic skills and are implementing them into their games. Well done to all the coaches; Jordan, Lisa, Laura, Erin, Hana, Steve and Jackie on a fantastic season so far and good luck for the rest of the season.

Well done to our reserve footballers who had arguably their best performance of the year defeating an undefeated Buninyong outfit in very difficult conditions. It was a fantastic team effort by all of the guys involved. Our under 17.5 boys came up against a very strong Buninyong team and battled well all day however eventually we were defeated by a better team on the day. Our under 14.5 and under 12’s also tried very hard and were very competitive all day.
