The Waubra Cricket Club may be small, but it has been an integral part of the local community for many decades.
Playing in the Pyrenees Cricket Association league, the Club competes among a group of six regional A grade teams from Natte Yallock, Avoca, Lexton, Talbot and Amphitheatre.
It has 14 playing members and three premiership trophies from 2010, 2009 and 2007.
Cricket season starts during the last week of October each year and the grand final is usually held during the long weekend in March.
The Club trains at the Waubra Recreation Reserve – The Hub – on Thursdays at 6pm and meet to travel together as a group to games throughout the region.
Each year they hold a Sponsors Day and Family Day for fundraising and to celebrate the support of the game among the local community.
