Established in 1988, the Group’s role is to support landholders in improving the landscape condition, sustainability and biodiversity of their land.
Covering the Lexton, Glenbrae, Langi Kal Kal and Burnbank areas, the group undertakes educational events, runs trials, provides resources for weed and pest control as well as a free trees scheme annually supported through the Waubra Wind Farm Community Fund.
The Group also supports major projects for soil erosion control and revegetation, usually with public funding from the State or Federal government.
The Group undertakes around 30 individual property projects each year, plus supporting a further 30 landholders through providing free trees.
