The very successful Waubra Football & Netball Club is looking forward to a productive 2013, following a successful previous two seasons.
In 2012 the club had its reserves football, B and C grade netball teams achieve runners up status. The club fielded six sides on 2011 grand final day, taking home the senior, reserves and U18 football flags and runners up in the A, C and U17 netball grades.
The club’s home is the Waubra Community Hub and with recent extensions to the buildings, a new netball court and playground, there are fantastic facilities that support the family culture at the club.
This season the club will be entering teams in all football competitions including Under 12s, 15s and 18s, Reserves and Seniors. New players, particularly juniors (no experience necessary) are more than welcome.
The club will also be fielding sides in all netball grades including Under 13s, 15s and 17s, as well as A, B and C grades. Again some of the junior teams are in need of more players, so please contact the club if you would like more information.
The club has a great group of volunteers who help out every week with training, maintaining the ground, running the canteen, organising events and many other tasks.
Training is generally held on Tuesday and Thursday nights and there is usually a home game every second week. The season starts on April 13th – with our first home game April 20th – and finals begin on August 24th.
